Joshua Hay - A Brief History
So! About the Joshua Hay featured in this playthrough.
Unfortunately, I never saved the original Joshua Hay from the very first Price Legacy. He died, and before I could resurrect his ghost and save his file, he went into the netherworld. It's close to impossible to bring him back, and even if there was a method, I didn't want to risk breaking my game.
I was just about ready to move on without him, and I rebooted the legacy in which Marci married Dina instead (and Don ofc was going to snake his way back in, because somehow Marci and Don ALWAYS become friends with little to no intervention on my part, not even joking a little)...but alas, I really missed Josh.
So, I did something that felt wrong: I took the OG Holden Price and changed a few features to remake his father.
For reference, these are the only two surviving close-up images of OG Josh, including their meet-and-greet.

And this is OG Holden.

As you can see, the only thing Holden inherited from his mom were her thin eyebrows and I...think his cheeks were shaped a little different. That's it. Everything else was Josh, even his body type. I remember when Holden aged up into his teen years, I did a side-by-side comparison between him and Josh. As much as I adored him, I ultimately decided Holden couldn't be heir material because he was just an asexual copy of his father.

So, all I had to do was play with the eyebrows and just a liiiiittle bit with the cheeksand gave him Josh's bubble butt, and voila. ofc I didn't give Josh his OG hairstyle because I'm dumb and forgot which one he had, but it worked out. (And I gave him the OG hair as a teen in the recent update.)
I also gave him a different skintone than Marci; they had the same one in the first playthrough, and I just thought he looked closer to how I pictured him in my head. He's noticably stockier/heavier compared to the OG Josh. I think it makes sense with his past glutton trait.
The OG Josh was also mean, a glutton, and hot headed, but I decided to get rid of the mean trait as he never struck me as a mean sim; he went and developed a personality behind my back! I gave him creative instead, and you can easily swap out glutton for family oriented.
